Mithru Rachamalla

Mithru's start had nothing to do with an office or an agency. It began in college, where web design was the one thing he kept coming back to. He spent late nights learning and building whatever he could, mostly for free: websites for friends, help for strangers online, full builds handed over simply because he enjoyed making them.

Those early, messy projects taught him more than college did. Small wins slowly turned into clients and, one day, a little money, not much but treasured. Clients began passing his contact on to others, which brought more work. That's when he understood how much each client's satisfaction mattered.

He started The Geeks Room with a fair amount of fear and uncertainty, and discouragement from people around him. He kept going anyway, aiming to make every client feel properly looked after, which is still the standard the business runs on. The Geeks Room has grown without a single rupee spent on marketing. Every project, referral and returning client has come through word of mouth.

The Geeks Room sits inside a wider group, ArtoonsInn, and Mithru is involved in more than one part of it. He's also a publisher and a community organiser, and he runs a small local business with no connection to web work at all.
